Simple Tassel Pumpkin
INSIDE : Learn how to create your very own Layered Tassel Pumpkin! It is a great budget friendly, no carve pumpkin decor craft idea.
I really love a good pumpkin DIY, like my Geometric Bean Pumpkin and Floral Felt Pumpkin.
Although, as much as I adore real pumpkins and having them out on our front patio, a fun faux pumpkin craft really excites me! This year I transformed an orange faux pumpkin from Oriental Trading into the most lovely Simple Tassel Pumpkin and I can’t wait to share how to make one for yourself!
First of all, can we talk about how precious little tassels are? These little guys are about an inch in length so they are perfect for layering on a pumpkin.
There is such a wide variety of colors to pick from and I ended up using various colors from three different packages of colors. And do you know what that means??? I still have leftover mini tassels to use!!
Head over to Oriental Trading’s Fun365 site to see my full supply list for this fun DIY project.
I also had such fun recreating the same exact colors in sand for the little mini sand art pumpkins! You can find these little cuties and their sand at Oriental Trading, too.
And be on the lookout for another pumpkin DIY coming with the sand art pumpkins!!
Honesty time, I made this project back in June… and I love it so much, it has been sitting out on display in my craft room ever since. Who needs fall to celebrate a pretty pumpkin – I say make it year round enjoyment!
Be sure to see the full step by step tutorial for this fun Tassel Pumpkin to Oriental Trading’s blog.

Oh my goodness I’m in love!
Thanks Julia! I want to leave this pumpkin out year round!!
Cutest use of the #putatassel on it mindset! ?
I’m clearly going through a tassel phase! I think my last three blog posts all involved tassels, ha.
I just love the colors of the tassels you used! And the little sand art pumpkins you paired with it are too cute!
