“Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens, Brown paper packages tied up with strings, These are a few of my favorite things…” (Who knows this song?) But honestly, brown paper packages tied up with strings REALLY is one of my favorite things! When I saw this Doily Punch, I knew I could create great Paper Punch Wrapped Gifts. If you are following me on Snapchat (delineateyrdwel), then you know it took me a few times to get the paper punch to work correctly. It wasn’t the paper punch… it was me. But, once I got the hang of it, I punch paper like it was no problem. I loved the delicate doily pattern it made!
Once the paper was punched, I folded the doily in half and then in half again. Then, I opened it up and using my hands formed it into a bit of a flower shape.
For each package I wrapped, I created two matching colored doilies. One stayed flat and one I hot glued on top to give extra dimension.
I added a coordinating color pom pom to the center of each punched flower.
