Colorful Pumpkins

Colored Pumpkins, Delineate Your Dwelling
Fall is such a fun time of the year with pumpkins, apple cider, and falling leaves.  This year I’ve decided to go with more non-traditional colors for fall.  Earlier this year I made a fun cream felt pumpkin and I also added washi tape to a pumpkin because, hello I’ve got a ton of washi tape sitting around!
I went to my local Hobby Lobby store and bought a package of seven small faux pumpkin.  I got out my craft paints and gave all the pumpkins a coat or two of fresh paint.

I have these pumpkins down at kiddo level.  I believe in having some “no touch” decorations and having some kid friendly accessible decorations.
Now that the kids can actually play with these fun painted pumpkins, they’ve been busy making all kinds of pumpkin soups, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin towers, and they even did a little pumpkin bowling.  I love the imaginations of children!

What kiddo safe decorations have you done recently?

Ready to check out some of my other fun pumpkins from over the years?

  1. These are so cute! I love how you mixed in the turquoise in with the fall colors. I never would have thought to mix those together but it works! I’m so glad you linked this up to Frugal Crafty Home Blog Hop!

  2. What a great idea! There are so many different colors that you could paint the pumpkins. I think my kids would really enjoy this project.

Thank you for joining us at the Share the Love Blog Hop!!!
