Adding ribbon

To achieve the fun stacked wreath look, it’s as simple as adding ribbon to each wreath!

I wanted my wreaths to hang about 2-3″ from each other, so I cut the ribbons to roughly 5-6″ long.

Start on your bottom wreath and create a small loop and add hot glue to secure. Then, add your next ribbon in a large loop with the bottom wreath and the wreath above, secure with hot glue.

Repeat this ribbon pattern until you have the desired length.

Adding gold foil

The next step to really make these mini grapevine wreaths shimmer is adding a touch of gold. You can get as heavy handed as you want with the gold foil, but I wanted just a bit of shimmery gold to the bottom half of my wreaths.

Begin by brushing on your metal leaf adhesive glue. Follow the instructions on your glue, but in general you apply and allow to become tacky.

Once the glue is tacky, place your gold foil sheet overtop and then brush away with your clean brush. NOTE – this is a messy step, so be sure to work in an area that you can easily clean up stray gold foil.

Add greenery

The last step of these fun Spring wreaths is adding greenery. I used a few different types, but any faux greenery works here.

Fake greenery

Glue a few pieces together and secure to your wreath were the ribbons meet the wreath.

I thought it was such a fun idea to mix and match a few different sizes of smaller sized grapevine wreaths together for this fun Spring wall hanging.

And I love how the gold paint that I added sparkles and shimmers when hanging up on the wall.

And as I always mention but think is so great about making a project versus just simply buying something in the store, you can mix and match the ribbon colors and floral elements to match your personal style and color preferences.

These Simple Spring Grapevine Wreaths make such a fun addition to your home.

I think adding some air plants would also be a fun touch!!
