INSIDE : Create a simple and festive way to hold and organize all your Christmas books this winter season! A simple wooden planked crate a few holiday touches completely transforms this into a perfect Christmas Book Box.
Christmas Advent Calendar
Many years ago I did a colorful Christmas advent calendar with fun printable Christmas related “challenges” all December long. It was such fun, but after a while with two very young children – it started to feel more like a long to-do list and less like joyful holiday fun.
25 Wrapped Holiday Books
So, then I started wrapping 25 Holiday, Christmas and religious books and each night we would open one book together. That tradition lasted much longer, but honestly… wrapping 25 books then started to feel like a big job each December.
Christmas Book Box
Now each December I simply pull out all our favorite books for the Christmas season and we have them on display all winter long. Today I am sharing how I made this fun and festive Christmas Book Box with Oriental Trading!
And that my friends is what a seasoned mom does – makes it simple to accomplish, cute to set out and display in your home and easy for your children to enjoy.
Looking for a few new Holiday books to refresh your stash? Here are a few of our favorites.

What is my favorite part of this Christmas project? I must say the ball ornament is so simple and gorgeous. It’s from OTC and I love that it’s raw ceramic. You could paint it to match your decor or simply leave it as is!
Also I really love the little sprigs of greenery. I used faux eucalyptus and a bit of holly + berries. I think it adds just a fun wintery charm to the craft.
Don’t forget to pin this project now and save it for your next crafting session before December starts.
