Modern DIY Terrariums

A few weeks ago on Instagram Stories, I professed my love for an upcoming DIY project.  I am fairly certain I said it was my favorite DIY to date and those are strong words.  I also get really excitable when I am… excited, ha.  Today is the day, I share my favorite DIY, my Modern DIY Terrariums.

These three beauties are currently sitting on my fireplace mantel and I have wanted to share a picture for weeks, but had to wait until the post was revealed.

How can you go wrong with crosses, polka dots and scallops, though?!!

And what makes these modern day terrariums so modern?  Air plants are perfect for terrariums and the awesome mini items inside take it just to the next level!

I can’t get enough of the adorable pink flamingos and everything is better with a few disco balls.

Plus the wooden base of these terrariums is so substantial and they feel so quality.  I bought three but I kind of what three more!

I love the simple color palette, too.  Pinks, corals, golds, blacks and white… the colors that make me so happy!

  1. These are gorgeous and make a wonderful statement with the 3 terrariums grouped together. The simple design is sort of minimalistic, and the details of the brightly colored items really pop in a subtle way.

    1. Thank you so much, Carol! I loved keeping them simple but adding the bright pink pops here and there. Felt like I could actually set them out in my home but still a hint of whimsy. 😉

  2. The terrariums are BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love the colors…. You did wonderful!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing…… I cannot wait to make some for myself 🙂
