What is the easiest way to make Yarn Pom Poms?

OH!  I love my pom pom maker.  I know there are a handful of very simple pom pom making techniques using a piece of cardboard or maybe a fork.  And those are great ways, but once you’ve zipped through making a pom pom with an actual pom pom maker, you just don’t realize how simple it really can be.

How do I create colorful Leather Bookmarks?

Next, I measured and marked my leather at 1.5″.  I like that my bookmarks are more narrow than wide.  I used a bright pink, white and teal color leather.

Then, using my Rotary Hole punch, I punched a simple hole in my leather for stringing the pom pom through.

The end result were these simple but gorgeous pom pom leather bookmarks!

Materials

Instructions

  1. Start by wrapping colorful yarn around your Clover Pom Pom maker one side at a time. Next, fold your maker in half and using sewing scissors, slice the yarn down the middle groove. Using about 8" of yarn, tie multiple knots along the middle groove to hold your pom pom in place. Remove from the maker and trim to create a perfect circle.
  2. Next, measure and mark your leather at 1.5″ wide. I used a bright pink, white and teal color leather.
  3. Using a Rotary Hole punch, punch a simple hole in your leather near the top, to string the pom pom through.
  4. The end result are these simple but gorgeous pom pom leather bookmarks!

Notes

-I wrapped multiple colors of yarn on each pom pom maker to create a fun patterned look.
