Bean Pumpkin

Last year I made a Felt Pumpkin and completely fell in love.  This year, I’ve made a bean pumpkin.  Maybe this year’s pumpkin is a little less wedding bouquet-esque and more natural geometric but I’m okay with that.  Today I will be sharing how I crafted this fun Bean Pumpkin.

My supplies were very simple.

Lentils | Red Kidney Beans | White Kidney Beans | White Pumpkin | Paint + Hot Glue

The first step was drawing on the triangle pattern with a pencil… I just freehanded this, it doesn’t have to be perfect.

I noticed that even with getting the beans as close as possible, you could still see the underneath showing through.  So, I quickly painted in my triangles with brown and green acrylic paint.

Then it was simply bean by bean, using hot glue to secure.

I added one row on top and bottom with the white kidney beans to finish it off.
