This is such a fun and simple craft project.

Bohemian Charger Plate steps

I came up with a handful of fun boheo styled patterns and using fun bright colorful paints for summer got to painting!

How to paint Wicker Charger Plates

Originally I was going to tape off patterns using painter’s tape, but then I decided I wanted that true boho look… not perfectly straight geometric lines.

Plus, when painting on wicker plates you just can not be super specific lines.  Although these patterns are not perfect, I could not be more pleased with how they turned out.

I did concentric diamonds, triangle patterns and a few different zig zag patterns – all in different summery paint colors.

Once your painted chargers have dried, you can use clear plastic plates so the fun patterns are able to show up from the painted chargers underneath.

I had a few girlfriends over for a Moscow Mule happy hour and these plates were the perfect summer touch!  Using Pineapples as decor, is also a fun idea.

We’ve since used these fun bohemian chargers for many of our meals around the house.  I mean, why not always eat off of cheerful happy plates, right?
