I love having easy to carry entertainment with me at all times.  I’m a mother to two elementary aged children and although we have taught them how to behave in public while at restaurants, breweries and other places were calm behavior is needed… having something easy and fun up your sleeve is still life giving at times!

Supplies needed for a fun Wooden Spinning Tic Tac Toe game

First of all, can we talk about those happy summery colors?!!  I am not one who normally gravitates towards blues and pinks – but oh my, these colors are making me take notice.

Create a colorful Tic Tac Toe game

The first thing to do on this project is measure out the exact size of each wooden X and O on your tic tac toe board.

Using a pencil, ruler and scissors cut out gorgeous Scrapbook paper accordingly.

Once all your scrapbook pieces are cut out, it is time to glue them down to the game board with a hot glue gun. I glued the paper to all of the X’s.

I poured my paint colors in an easy to clean paint palette and using a pretty rose, almost coral color and a vibrant soft blue acrylic paint, I then painted the O’s.

Once those were dry, I also painted the outer edges of the tic tac toe game in the corresponding paint color.

Next, using a cotton swab for each color, I painted sweet little polka dots on a natural canvas drawstring bag. This bag is perfect for holding and transporting your game.

If this precious DIY game doesn’t just scream spring and summer, I don’t know what does!
