INSIDE : Learn how to use office supplies and transform them into shadowbox DIY artwork! Perfect to hang in your office or to even make with your kids to kick off the new school year.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I get a little giddy for office supplies. There is something about brand new pencils, all perfectly sharpened that says ‘new beginnings’. As kiddo #1 heads off to her first year of preschool (TODAY!), we made a special trip over to Office Depot for some amazing back to school supplies, their prices can not be beat!
As will filled up our cart with all the fun school supplies, I picked up a few items to make her teacher a small gift to say we are excited to have kiddo #1 in her class. Today I am sharing my Office Supply Artwork teacher gift.
What supplies do I need to make an Office Supply Artwork Shadowbox?
First I measured and cut my background paper down to size.
I had such fun playing around with these supplies. It was cool to view them as shapes and forms and not as pencils and erasers. A little dab of hot glue and I was off and creating!
I used a little washi tape and spruced up some lovely Sharpie markers.
What color!
This could easily be done with your children, too. It’s fun to do a little imagining!
This was such an easy project and I just love how it turned out! Before you head to Office Depot now to get some of these supplies make sure to sign up with their Office Depot Rewards http://bit.ly/1unqFEW. You can also save $5 off your purchase of $20 or more on Select Newell Rubbermaid Brands (Papermate, Expo Neon Window Markers, Sharpie, Uni-Ball and Mr. Sketch) which is such an excellent deal.
They also have great weekly savings from August 31 to September 6 on Sharpie Clearview Highlighter 3PK: $4, PaperMate Clearpoint 2PK’s: $3, Select Expo Chisel & Ultra Fine 4PK’s: $2
