Today is our fourth month of the ‘2015 Knock Out Knock Off challenge‘ and Crate and Barrel is the store we are being inspired by. Each month, four other bloggers and I pick items from our pre-selected store and try to recreate them for a lesser cost. This summer we’ve done Anthropologie, The Land of Nod and last month we did CB2. So, today am here to share my Colorful Striped Coasters!

There is something about the middle of summer that draws me to a clean modern nautical look. I loved these Crate and Barrel set of four *Vaughn Coasters and knew I could easily create a similar look for much less. I don’t often do primary colors, so I still went with bright and bold for summer but a palette more to my taste preferences. #diytotherescue
Once again this month, I already owned all the materials needed for this project. So, I did a little happy dance at the ZERO price tag. However, if you were to buy these few craft items it would cost around $8 total.
I love how they turned out. Perfect for my next bbq hangout!
Be sure to stop by the other blogs to see what my creative friends made, too!
