SUPPLIES : – (4) Whiteboard lumber 1"x2"x8′ – Miter Saw – Electric Sander – Drill Press and 1/4″ Drill Bit – (2) Wood Stains + Staining Cloth – Paracord – Measuring Tape + pencil – Layout Square
The average American doorway width is 36″ wide. So I decided to make my doormat 30″ wide which gives just a bit of wiggle room on each side of the door.

Measure to 30″, mark and cut. This is the long base piece of your wooden sunburst doormat.

Print out the cut list (link below) and begin making piles of each size needed, marking them off as you go.

Once all your pieces are cut, it is so important to do a dry fit of the layout.
