Stone Wall repair

Over time, mortar can loosen and crack.  Rocks need slight repair to maintain wall look.

ROCKWALL REPAIR SUPPLIES  Mortar Mix, Quikrete Bucket, Work Gloves Trowel Water, Sponge Large Stiff Bristled Brush

Remove any of the loose stones from your wall.  Then, stack them on the ground right in front of where they go.

Give both the rock and the place on the wall where the rock had been located a nice good brush down to remove debris.

Follow the directions on your Mortar Mix, I used Quikrete.  So I added the mortar into a small 2 gallon bucket and added the appropriate water amount.

Using your trowel, apply mortar to the edges of your wall where the rock had been located.  Also apply about an inch of mortar to each side of the stone due to the existing wide joints..

Nestle the rock into place and scrape off any excess mortar with your trowel.

Lightly spray completed areas on a hose mist setting.  Using a sponge, clean up the stone’s top side.

Sit back and enjoy your handiwork!
