There is nothing quite like hot cocoa in the winter. My kiddos and I don’t need much of a reason to break out the cozy chocolate drink. Just imagine the excitement on my kid’s faces when I broke out these incredibly easy Snowflake Hot Chocolate drinks for them! Check out how simple they are to make, below.
What supplies are need to make Snowflake Hot Chocolate?
Adorable Mugs (simiar)
Toothpicks (7 needed per hot cocoa)
Large Marshmallows
Mini Marshmallows
Kitchen Scissors
Hot Chocolate Mix
How to make Snowflake Hot Chocolate with simple Marshmallows:
The first step to making your Snowflake Hot Cocoa is inserting seven toothpicks into a large marshmallow. Helpful tip : I found it easier to keep the snowflake in the mug by not including an eighth toothpick.
Next, I put two mini marshmallows on each toothpick to continue creating the snowflake look.
The fun part of this project is that just like snowflakes, there are no two alike! You can create all types of patterns.
Once you have your marshmallow snowflakes made, cut a small slice into the large main marshmallow right where the 8th toothpick “should” go with your kitchen scissors.
The cut portion is where you put the marshmallow on the mug. And the end result is the most precious snowflake hot cocoa drinks you have ever seen!
Your kids will thank you. Your friends will thank you.

- Once you have your marshmallow snowflakes made, cut a small slice into the large main marshmallow right where the 8th toothpick “should” go with a pait of kitchen scissors.
- The cut portion is where the marshmallow sits on the mug's edge.
- The end result is the most precious snowflake hot cocoa drinks you have ever seen!
