  • Wooster Paint Brush

How to create a geometric backdrop

Creating a backdrop from a canvas is such a fun and quick project.  I bought a canvas drop clothes at Lowes and all the other supplies I already had on hand.

I started by taping off my design, a diamond pattern with painter’s tape – as well as taping off the edges.

I then started with mint green acrylic paint to start filling in the pattern.

Next I added coral and a soft creamy blue color.

Each diamond took two coats of paint to get a good even coverage. Then before the paint was fully dry, I removed the tape.

I hung this up in our sun room.  It goes with all the colors and patterns just perfectly.  SaveSave
