I am participating in a Pinterest Challenge with nine other amazing bloggers and today am I sharing my first project with you, a “Shoes Off Please” sign. The unique thing about this sign is that the wall is the backing!

MY PINTEREST PROJECTS –

Letter Sign supplies

The supplies for this project could not be more simple!

How to make a Shoes Off Sign

It’s hard to tell in the image below because the natural color of my letters were very similar to my wall color.

However, no matter what color your walls are, the first step is painting them your wall paint color. I gave each letter two coats of paint. Be sure to allow for them to dry completely between coats.

Gluing Shoes Off Please letters

I debated using small nails, but in the end since my letters were only 2″ tall, I simply used hot glue and stuck them up there.

Each letter should only need a very small dab of glue and honestly, the smaller the amount of glue the better.

I used a level to make sure the letters were all placed in a straight line. And then I found the center of my door, made a mark on the wall with a pencil and placed the two “FF”s in ‘off” at that mark.

Then, letter by letter I spaced them out from that centerline.

A big thanks to Stripes and Polka Dots for coordinating this great Pinterest Series! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
