I loved that as I looked around my home, dug around in a few closets and pulled out unused wrapping paper, I was able to completely update the look of this table with ZERO dollars spent! (I take that back. I spent ~$5 on a can of light blue spray paint.) I was able to update the look of this table for FIVE DOLLARS!
I spray painted wooden candle stick holders with white paint and glued pleated ribbon to the base.
I painted a "W" (last name) gold to match the new color scheme.
I glued sparkley gold ribbon to a lampshade, along with some black and white chevron washi tape to give the shade a little pizzaz. (the flower is removeable)
I cut some black and brown wrapping paper to the inside size of my wooden tray and then secured it with a tiny dab of hot glue in each corner.
I added a bit of washi tape to a glass jar for our coin collecting.
With some very simple painting and a little bit of hot blue, I think this turned out to be an excellent and simple DIY project!
