Welcome to my new Entry Foyer Table.
I used to love this space so very much (see below image). Then, I had some time away, our five month move to indiana and then move right back to new mexico, and when I got back... I realized I don't really like it all that much.
Question to myself: Why do I have so many brown items all in the same place? It's so dark and heavy feeling. It's definitely not my fav and definitely needing a little makeover.
Let's all sigh a breath of happiness together. So many problems I didn't even realize were issues are now fixed.
I'm going to break down how I transformed these items I already owned from drab to fab in a few posts. This week, let's take a look at the white candle sticks and the golden W. (for our last name).
I've had these two candle sticks so long, I can't remember where I got them. If I had to guess, I'd say Cost Plus World Market, five plus years ago.
As previously mentioned, I'm making strides towards a lighter brighter home. Out with the dark browns (where it's possible) and in with the whites and creams.
I cut out two circles and pasted them to the candle stick tops. Then using Krylon white matte spray paint, I gave them a few light coats.
After the paint dried, I glued a little "skirt" to the top rim with some white ribbon I had on hand. Such a simple transformation from dull brown candle stick to a crisp clean calendar holder and bird stoop.
What kind of transformation have you made with some simple spray paint?
